Who receives the invitations

Not everyone you choose in the audience receives the invitation. Testimoniacs checks each person before sending, to respect contact permission and avoid bothering people who have already been invited.

Contact permission

Each person in People has a Contact permission. Only people who are Authorized receive campaign invitations.

PermissionReceives invitations?
AuthorizedYes.
UnknownNo. This is the state of people created without a permission record, such as people who came from a testimonial import.
UnsubscribedNo. The person asked to stop receiving invitations.
BlockedNo. The email bounced or caused a complaint.

To authorize someone, open the person in People, check This person authorized invitations and record how the permission was obtained. When you import people by CSV, use the contact permission column.

Only authorize people who really agreed to receive your emails. Invitations without permission hurt your reputation and your email deliverability.

Why someone was excluded

In the audience review, the panel shows Matching people, Eligible contacts and Excluded. Click Refresh audience to check again. The exclusion reasons are:

  • Unsubscribed or Blocked.
  • No email or Invalid email.
  • No confirmed authorization: the permission isn’t Authorized.
  • Already participating in a campaign: the person is in another active campaign.
  • Invited less than 30 days ago: each person receives at most one new invitation every 30 days.

Unsubscribing

Every invitation has the Unsubscribe from invitations link in its footer. Whoever clicks it stops receiving invitations from this space, and their permission changes to Unsubscribed. The unsubscribe applies to the email address, even if the person is created again.

Frequently asked questions

My campaign has 0 eligible contacts.

Check the permission of the people you chose. The most common reason is No confirmed authorization, for example for people imported along with testimonials.

Do reminders also respect the 30 days?

No. Reminders for the same campaign follow their own schedule and stop when the person responds or unsubscribes.

Can I re-authorize someone who unsubscribed?

Only if the person asks again to receive invitations. Record that new permission in People.
